I started Blackcloud BSG in 2010 with a background in software engineering. Our initial mission was to write software to automate businesses.
Since then, I've seen over a hundred businesses from the inside, everything from still-in-the-garage startups to fortune 500s. I've had the opportunity to work with some of the most talented people in their respective industries and have seen some well-run (and not so well-run) shops.
In 2012, as an early proponent of deep learning, I started the San Francisco Neural Network Aficionados.
In 2013, to commercialize the technology around the field of deep learning, I started Ersatz Labs, a platform for building deep neural networks in the cloud.
In 2016, I released a multiplayer PC shooter called Starship Assassin.
Most recently, I've become interested in helping private equity firms apply artificial intelligence as a strategy for identifying acquisition targets and generating more value from existing acquisitions.
